I don’t know how I know this pt.2

by | Jun 5, 2019

Back in November, I wrote a blog post, highlighting some of the more interesting facts I had learnt over my time at 22 Create. Since then I’ve discovered and learnt a tonne of new things, so I thought it was only right to share a few of my favourites*.

*Disclaimer, these may or may not help you in a pub quiz.

1/ Blinkin’ Heck

In the process of researching my last blog all about colour blindness and design, I found out that colour blindness is a lot rarer in females. Only 1 in 200 women are colour blind compared to 1 in 12 men. Crazy right?!

2/ Talking Trees

Did you know that trees actually communicate with each other? They do this through their mycelium network (threads of fungi), aka the ‘Wood Wide Web’.  This essentially allows them to protect each other from pests by sending extra nutrients to one another when they are needed. Essentially, they all have each other’s bark. That was too cheesy, sorry.

3/ Crazy Cycling

With all of our work for Eisberg Wine and the Tour Series, I wanted to learn a bit more about the cycling scene. Upon my research I found that the longest ‘tandem’ bicycle seated 25 people, measuring a whopping 20 meters long.
