In honour of Pride Month this June, we’ve put together some of our favourite campaigns and brand activities that celebrate the LGBTQ community!

1/ Pantene ‘Don’t Hate Me Because I’m Beautiful’

In 1986, model Kelly LeBrock starred in a Pantene commercial. The tagline “Don’t Hate Me Because I’m Beautiful” became a pop culture catchphrase. Now, it’s getting an update to be more inclusive for 2019.

In partnership with GLAAD, the P&G brand and agency Grey New York launched “Don’t Hate Me Because I’m BeautifuLGBTQ,” a new campaign designed to celebrate the diverse beauty found in the LGBTQ+ community, rather than the conventional stereotypes of beauty found in past ads.

2/ Absolut teams up with GLAAD to create throwback poster

 

Absolut has partnered with non-profit organization GLAAD to pay homage to the “people, protests and protagonists” who have taken a stand alongside the LGBTQ community to fight for acceptance.

As a brand that started targeting the gay community via advertising back in 1981, Absolut said it is “proud to be a brand known for fearlessly celebrating diversity, acceptance and equality.”

3/ Morphe Live in Colour

 

 

Morphe has teamed up with The Trevor Project, a charity that helps fund 24/7 suicide prevention and crisis intervention services for the LGBTQ youth.

One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the Live in Colour Brush Set and the Live in Colour Artistry Palette will be donated to the organisation.

4/ Snapchat filter transforms buildings into icons of Pride Month

 

Snapchat is using its augmented reality technology to transform buildings around the world into celebrations of Pride.

Snapchat released three new, Pride-themed Landmarks, created especially for the occasion: one in New York City, one in Washington, D.C., and one in Los Angeles.
